Hi,

This is vozzz

Loyal members, watchers, and contributors.

At the moment, this is not much of a community as well, it is very quiet and well, you know, not very alive ;)

But I have finished school, which took a lot of my time, and gave me little benefit. I believe i will soon have work, I already have some promising prospects. (at the moment that is my priority, as we all need food to live, and that costs money).

Once i have work, and get my own apartment, I will be able to get back to managing this community, i will most likely host a proper forum board, and I promise to make some tutorials. I appreciate all the support over the years, and I don't think i would've made as much resources if it wasn't for all the comments i recieved.

Why am i writing this? Well easy. I generally have a tendency to deviate from my plans, so basically if there is still nothing new here at the end of the month, just nagg me, till there is.

Oh yeah and for now check out MindClots gallery it has some fun c4d tutorials ---> mindclot.deviantart.com/galler…

Cheers,
:ahoy:

I'm back

Ok people well I'm back, I've been busy for the last week, so no updates. Now I'm back, but unfortunately school is starting soon. Can't believe i still havn't recorded any tutorials, i'm hopeless.

Anyway thankfully there are other people out there submitting cool stuff. Especially TheAnimator0 he made this really cool tutorial, you just have to do this one. It's short and effective!!!

Expresso Tutorial by TheAnimator0

I can just imagine making a caterpillar with it. Maybe I'll make a tutorial on that? With the modelling and rendering and stuff. Anywho.

In other news

Contests? Anyone up for any? What are your ideas? Like i have idea's, but jsut curious about what you guys have. Anyone want to submit prizes? ;P

Do any of you have Final Render? just wondering weather to include it in tutorials or not. If you have the money and you render using GI, It's really worth it. The speed increase is fantastic.

Anyway Don't have much more to add, so enjoy yourself!!!

p.s. oh yeah, is the banner at the top appearing chopped off to you? It is to me and i can't figure out why.

-New tutorial submission rules

:bulletred: NO ABSTRACT TUTORIALS there is enough of them.

Unless it's something like this:
every day life by Jesar :thumb24977436: NullFlow by Jesar

But i don't think it's possible to write tutorials on that unless they are just walkthroughs, or where you got your inspiration from...

:bulletgreen: I will write a guide for formating your tutorials. to help you guys out, but could we please have them atleast remotely well designed? Like jsut try and stay away from white on black. After all this is an art community.  I'll post the tutorial on tutorials and there will be different headres included and stuff for you to use.

the guide is now available here: www.deviantart.com/view/275712…

:bulletblue: when you post a final image in your tutorial make sure it's described in the tutorial how to get there. Or just do clay render. (grey with radiosity, no lights, just sky and floor)

:bulletblue: just in case. For recording video tutorials i recomend a program calle bbflashback. It comes in a light version for $40 bucks. great buy for whatever kind of work. You basically always have to teach someone.

People submitting tutorials!!! :XD:

It is really great to see people submitting tutorials, go check them out in the [ Tutorials ]<a  section.

New stamp(s)

Ok well firstly we have a new stamp. You can now use it in your Journal and stuff. And the beauty is you can use it even if your not a subscriber.

:bulletgreen:How to use:
Subscribers: type "DA Cinema4d Community Stamp by cinema4d" in your journal without the "

:bulletblue: Non Subscribers type the following.  iconc4d1::iconc4d2  with : on either side. How nifty is that?

:bulletred: Everyone in your signature type "member of devcinema4d with : on either side of devcinema4d and we'll get more people.

New member sytem

Ok i thought it was harsh to say some one isn't a memeber so i got a new idea.
To become a member:
:bulletblue: add us to watch list
:bulletblue: add "member of devcinema4d with : on either side of devcinema4d to your sig
:bulletblue: also preferably add us to your journal.

This will make you eligible for contests and stuff

To be featured in this journal under members you have to make some kind of resource for cinema4d (tutorial, material pack...) Something cool. Or do something else usefull. Alternitavely if one of your things gets faved by cinema4d you also get added. We will also feature active conributors regularily.

Some tutorials getting made

Ok i still want to hear what you want people!!! comon there is like 180 people that watch this club. DO SOMETHING!!!!

The GOOoOoD

Well the good news, we are not dead, and we have some tutorials that will be up shortly. We got a quick run through Pyrocluster already to go. Then there will be a video tutorial on how to make my bom om, or how ever you spell it. You can check out what it looks like on my account vozzz The we also got a wwebsite, just needs some minor setting up and it will be ready to run.

The BaD

Well first of all you will have to be patient ;P

Secondly becoming a member will now be slightly more complicated. In order to become a member and be featured in this journal you will have to make a contribution to the community. So for example you can make a tutorial or a shader pack or jsut something usefull that you can share with everyone. Oh yeah you can also subscribe cinema4d, or provide prizes for contests and so on. Obviously it will have to be approved, you can't just submit something random. :XD:

Oh yeah and some of the tutorials might cost money, but don't think about that yet as first there are gona be tonnes of free ones.

The GREAT

The great news is as said that you will be getting new tutorials, the community is not dead! There will be contests, and once i get my training cd's/DVD's up you will be able to win them

And also we will have website with a forum and a submission section where you can share your stuff and get help from other fellow c4d users.

Ok i don't think i missed anything, so sit tight and start getting something ready to share

We are moving to c4dportal

We are merging with c4dprotal, for the obvious reasons, that they have a forum, an easy to use interface, a dedicated team posting updates and news and stuff, basically what i wanted to create here, but didn't have enough time. You can post your tutorials over there, your wips, and so on. You actaully get alot usefull tips fromt he memebrs over there.

LINK

C4D PORTAL

I will continue to update from time to time over here, but otherwise go over there, register, put a link to your DA gallery, and enjoy. Generally it's a great place to ask questions, talk to other c4d users and so on.

:spotlight-left: Contest   :spotlight-right:

All contests will now be hosted over at  C4D PORTAL

now over at C4D PORTAL

:bulletred: Note cinema4d with a link to your resource.
:bulletred: Make the subject of the note the category to which it belongs.
:bulletgreen: The categories are Tutorial, Material, Model, and Other.

How to Join?

Go over to C4D PORTAL and register

:bulletblue:Add cinema4d to your watch list.

That's it there is too much people who want to join and adding them all to the journal is just an insane waste of time, so instead just add "member of cinema4d to your sig in your journal. Maybe we'll put in a system where you have to submit something or make some kind of contribution, like help us out in some way, to get listed.

The Reason

The reason for the creation of this account is to unite all the Cinema 4d users. The main problem with Deviant Art for a Cinema 4d user is that there are no categories for it anywhere, So now this community will act as source for everything Cinema 4d. It will hold contests, maybe If we get generouse members with prizes.

This site will also act as a source for tutorials, resource models, and help for cinema 4d users.

Now this has prooved to not work too well, so we are all going to C4D PORTAL

Gmail Invites

We seem to have been given 50 Gmail invites each. Looks like Gmail is trying to expand. If anyone here would like one, send a note to Jammurch, vozzz or Tozza with your email address and one of us will send you an invite.

We Got a Forum

Well I, well Tozza had the idea of putting the cinema4d forum on my page, so I did :D I had no other use for it anyway. So untill we get a subscription you cna use the one over there :) Oh yeah some one made a chat room for us, if you could note me that link I'l add it here.

vozzz.deviantart.com/journal/f…

Oh My God, well not really but we have over 1000 pageviews

And the community is living, there are people here and they are talking :D. I'm really sorry, but I promise I'll do more tomorrow. I'll add all the new members and read all the notes. Just bear with me, please. It's just after I opened this. I've stopped playing that stupid addictive RPG, well I think i have anyway ;) So now bakc to DA.

Apology

Ok I got rid of that message. The community will live!!!! But I will need alot, and I mean alot of input. I'd be happy to do it myself, but unfortunately my parents are breathing down my back about getting a job, so I'll still be active, but not as much as I hoped for. So if you have something to say personally to me, note me I'm vozzz

Call to arms

Ok we got an avatar :w00t: I forgot to change it before. Now you have something to compete with, If you think you can make a better one go ahead.
We are also looking for tutorials.

Help support this community. I am at the moment alone at this hopefully It will grow rapidly. All those wanting to join Note this account and add it to your watch list so other cinema 4d users can find you. Once some one tells me how to add icons of users I will add mine and anyone who wants to join.

Let's start this community, I have plenty of idea's for it :w00t: do you?

First kinda challenge

Oh yeah. Looking For a Dev ID. I'll start doing one in a while, but send in your entries, dosn't matter if you don't win or if you think you can't win, it will attract other cinema 4d users and they can give you pointers and help you out if your having troubles.

We need to make it grow

I just spent about 2 hours looking up all the c4d users out there. If you see anyone or know anyone force hime to join ;)

Idea's

Post your idea's for this community. I'm thinking of maybe making a book in pdf format, that you can download and print out. Maybe a monthly or whenever we get enough content a magazine, so that you can print it out and have a nice hard copy of the tutorials. Maybe we can include news in it and stuff. A tips and trick's publication could be in order if we get enought of them.

Tutorials

Do you have a good tutorial? Do you think you can write a good tutorial? Well you can either post on your page and we can just link it or you can note me, and we'll arrange something. I'm making a tutorial deviation, with links to the best ones I know. You know any good ones? Note me.

How to join?

Well for all you lazy ;) who don't bother to read the journal this is what you do:

- Send a note to this account
- Add it to your watch list

Call to arms

People we got to start filling this palce up with content. Send in a tutorial or a resource model, or some link to a usefull pug-in with a desrcipiton, and maybe even a short walkthrough. And ofcourse We need a Dev ID people!!!! Coz that one just dosn't cut it :D

That's it for Now

I'll start more intensive work on this tomorrow, got to go to sleep now :faint:

How to join?

Well for all you lazy ;) who don't bother to read the journal this is what you do:

- Send a note to this account
- Add it to your watch list

I'm sorry to anounce, that this community will probably not be able to exist, atleast for the time being. As my parents are pressuring me into geting a job for the holidays so I have to get to writing cover letters and applying for jobs. :(

If anyone would like to help out, during the next week or so just contact me ( vozzz ) and we can discuss it, note me and we'll see. Tozza might be able to do something, but I doubt he'll be to active. So unfortuately this community might die even before it starts.

Maybe ofcourse everything will work out, but right now I don't have the time to do anything.
